Game: O2

Story

Setting –The story begins on earth in the year 2500.

The condition in which mankind has been treating earth, led to low amounts and even the depletion of natural resources. Mankind seemed to be doomed, but the earth’s government started on a project to send people to a planet that seemed to be able to support mankind. The planet was named, Zorron.

The government needed scientist, architects and soldiers for the journey to Zorron, major recruiting and training started. There were even schools and programs made specifically for this event. Millions applied for the position since they all wanted a chance to leave earth and start a new world.

The first fleet embarked on the journey to Zorron, and reported that there were hostile aliens on the planet, and that they needed backup. So the government declared war on these aliens and sent in fleet after fleets of soldiers to eradicate them all. Salvation, The war lasted for 3 years and all the aliens were eradicated. Once this was accomplished, the scientist and the architects were brought in to start building and creating a civilization on the planet. By the year 2505, planet Zorron was made to sustain human life, and all the troubles of mankind seemed to be solved.

Setting – On the Planet Zorron

People start to flood the docks of Zorron to find real estate on the planet. There were two options to the living conditions on Zorron. The air on Zorron smelled funny to people, but the government assured them that it was just the smell and that they would get used to it and that there was going to be no harm done. You could live on the outside, or on the inside of a dome, which has fresh oxygen pumping in 24/7. The only thing is that living inside the dome required you to pay for oxygen, which was very expensive, so only the rich could afford to live inside of these domes. The poor were basically forced to live on the outskirts, but were still aloud to be in the domes in public areas like the mall, grocery stores, etc. but still had to pay a yearly tax for these privileges. The Poor could still buy oxygen tanks that would pump oxygen into their houses, and also masks with cartridges that convert the air into pure oxygen, which usually lasted a week’s worth of usage, which then the cartridges must be filled again.

All was going well, until 2 years after settlement, when people started to get sick on the outside, they had no idea what was going on but blamed it on the air, since people living inside the domes were fine. The poor started asking questions and wanted actions to take place, but the government kept telling them that the air was fine and that there was no connection to the air and people getting sick.

The poor did not believe this and wanted free oxygen for all. The government did not comply and so there was turmoil between the two classes, the rich and the poor.

All of mankind’s efforts to start anew in Zorron were done in vain. Soon after there were riots and raids into the domes, where the poor stole precious oxygen. The government started arresting them and even declared martial law on the people on the outside. There were patrols and enforcement in place to try and stop the raids. This eventually lead to the use of violence and people started dying. This led to an all out war against the poor and the rich on planet Zorron.

The year is now 2510, war still rages, the player takes the role of Fenix Krawn, a veteran of the Salvation war, Fenix was promoted to General of the governments army due to his participation in the war. He has seen a lot of combat and was the highest ranking in his class. All this and he is only 23. He is haunted by what he has seen and done to the aliens, because to him it seemed wrong, but he was only doing his job.

Fenix leads raids on the resistances hideouts and brings them in for justice. But on one raid, he captures a young girl, and arrests her. He brings her in and people start to interrogate her, but all they find out is that she is the daughter of the resistance leader. She is jailed for the night, but she is broken out of jail by resistance members. There is a warrant out for her arrest, and Fenix was put to the job of bringing her in.

On one of his outings to find the girl, he falls into a trap and is captured and taken to the leader of the resistance. The daughter shows Fenix what he is doing, that he is fighting for a false cause. She takes him to room where he sees the aliens in which he had massacred during the Salvation war. He is shocked and says that they must be killed, they are hostile, but the girl tells him that they are human. The air has begun to mutate them. The general is stunned and decides right there and there that he is going to figure out what is going on.

He returns to the president and asks him what is going on, the president tells him that there was a fleet that was sent to Zorron in the year 2450, the first human settlers to live on the planet Zorron, there was no aliens, the experimental fleet of 500 000 were sent there to see if living there was possible. Within the first 2 years people started showing symptoms of being sick, and eventually by 2460 everyone was mutated but were still able to reproduce,. People wanted to be brought back to earth to be treated and saved, but the government did not want to bring them back, after all those years of research and funding, so they decided to stage a cover-up and eradicate them all, operation Salvation.

There was a reason why the government approved millions of applications of the lower class, convicted felons and old people to the planet, they were trying to get rid of them so that the earth can replenish its resources and make space on earth. Zorron was never meant to replace earth, it was only meant to make more room for more people on earth.

Hearing this made Fenix sick and he ran away to join the resistance, because of this he was wanted dead or alive, and his rival was now in charge of the army, and his only goal was to kill ann the resistance and Fenix.
